Damax Plastics and Packaging cc was established in March 1993 by David Tromp as a home based business in Benoni. Products included industrial packaging as well as construction sheeting. The staff compliment was five people, three of which were family members and two were drivers. In 1999, David Tromp was approached by Richard Kahn of Kahn & Kahn Plastics (Pty) Ltd. Mr Kahn enquired whether he would be interested in purchasing the company.

The transaction took place and Damax became known as Damax Plastics and Packaging t/a Kahn & Kahn Plastics on 01 June 1999. Damax moved into the Kahn & Kahn premises in Eastleigh, Edenvale and retained 95% of their staff, bringing the total staff to +- 42 people. By 2000, the companies had outgrown the premised and relocated to Sebenza. The company continued to grow at a rapid rate and by 2005 had run out of both office and storage space.

Product ranges were added, stock holding was increased and more staff were acquired. A bigger warehousing facility as well as more offices became an urgent necessity.

Damax Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd was then formed to include Damax Property Investments, Damax Kahn & Kahn Plastics, Sebenza Pack and various other companies which have since been sold to re-focus on our core business.

The company continues to supply a large range of both construction sheeting as well as a nursery line and a large range of packaging products (and accessories thereto) to bring you, our valued customer, an innovative solution to all your requirements as well as an unrivalled customer service in the market.
